9) Y14 SC 39 Limits and Fits - - Member
10) Y14 SC 3 Orthographic and Pictorial Views – Member
11) Y14 SC 36 Surface Texture Symbology - Member.
12) Past Chairman of B89.3-Dimensional Measurement of Geometry

Mr. Meadows has written 20 books and workbooks on GD&T and related topics, and appeared in 4 film series on GD&T and Tolerance Stack-Up Analysis.

- has been a Journeyman Die Maker, Prototype Machinist, and Jig and Fixture Builder

- has taught at a wide variety of colleges and universities throughout the world.

James D. Meadows has written many textbooks, workbooks and tests on GD&T, the most current of which are:

1) Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing Textbook and Workbook [per ASME Y14.5-2018] This Textbook covers basic and advanced techniques on how to interpret, apply and measure GD&T per ASME Y14.5-2018. It also allows the learner to practice those techniques in a comprehensive Workbook section. An Answer Book is available and is sold separately.

2) Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing – Applications, Analysis & Measurement [per ASME Y14.5-2018] This textbook reflects new symbology, rules and basic principle revisions. It shows how to interpret design drawings and CAD representations of product definitions that use the ASME Y14.5-2018 standard. It also explains step-by-step procedures to apply the new Y14.5- 2018 practices and allows dimensioning and tolerancing professionals to express their design requirements more clearly.

3) Individual Testing Booklet for Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing [per the ASME Y14.5-2018 Standard]. This 625-question test is probably the most comprehensive test on the subject of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing ever available for purchase. Written to comply with the 2018 version of the ASME Y14.5 Dimensioning and Tolerancing standard and a few items that appear in related standards referenced in ASME Y14.5-2018 (such as Y14.43-Dimensioning and Tolerancing Principles for Gages and Fixtures), this test provides the opportunity for companies to test the proficiency of current or potential employees and to prepare them for the ASME GDTP (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing Professional) exam.

4) Answers to Individual Testing booklet for Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing [per the ASME Y14.5-2018 Standard]. This is the answer book for the 625-question testing booklet written by the same author. Written to comply with the 2018 version of the ASME Y14.5 Dimensioning and Tolerancing standard and a few items that appear in related standards referenced in ASME Y14.5-2018 (such as Y14.43- Dimensioning and Tolerancing Principles for Gages and Fixtures), this answer book provides the opportunity for companies to grade the proficiency of current or potential employees and to prepare them for the ASME GDTP (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing Professional) exam.

5) WORKBOOK AND ANSWERBOOK for Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing [per ASME Y14.5] This workbook offers a variety of reinforcement exercises that utilize the concepts discussed in the corresponding text also written by Mr. Meadows (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing - Applications, Analysis & Measurement [per ASME Y14.5]). It covers all facets of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (basic through advanced applications), tolerance stack-up analysis, statistical tolerancing, measurement, and dimensioning and tolerancing for functional gages and fixtures.

6) Tolerance Stack-Up Analysis. This text-workbook/answerbook explains the process of Tolerance Stack-Up Analysis for assemblies using both plus and minus and geometric tolerances. It explains pertinent aspects of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, then proceeds to teach a sound, logical, mathematically-reliable methodology for calculating tolerance stack-ups. This text is comprehensive, yet very easy to understand and follow from lesson to lesson.

7) Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing - Applications, Analysis & Measurement [per ASME Y14.5-2009]. Co-published by ASME, this textbook reflects symbology, rules and basic principle revisions. It shows how to interpret design drawings and CAD representations of product definitions that use the ASME Y14.5-2009 standard. It also explains step-by-step procedures to apply the Y14.5-2009 practices and allows dimensioning and tolerancing professionals to express their design requirements more clearly.

8) Individual Testing Booklet for Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing [per the ASME Y14.5-2009 and 1994 Standards].

9) ANSWERS to Individual Testing Booklet for Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing [per the ASME Y14.5-2009 and 1994 Standards].

10) Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing. This best-selling, 625-page textbook was written to explain the ASME Y14.5M-1994 standard and is already in its 14th printing. 300+ illustrations. Written in an easy-to-understand format. This book is available from publisher Marcel Dekker, Inc.

11) Measurement of Geometric Tolerances in Manufacturing. This insightful reference demonstrates a system of measurement, inspection, gaging, geometric tolerancing and fixturing of products in full compliance with the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), and the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) approved standards. This textbook provides thorough, easy-to-understand explanations of complex principles. This book is available from publisher Marcel Dekker, Inc.
